Burberry
A British house born in 1856 with Thomas Burberry's shop, the inventor of gabardine; its fragrances extend that heritage.
Official website(new tab)History
In 1856, aged just 21, Thomas Burberry, who had trained with a draper, set up his first shop in the Hampshire town of Basingstoke. In 1879 he invented gabardine, a fabric both breathable and protected from rain, patented in 1888, which has shaped the house's outerwear ever since.
Volute describes here its main fragrance lines, filed among designer fragrances, from Burberry's official pages.
