How Volute is funded, through partner links and advertising, and why no house can buy a place in our selections.
Volute is free for its readers. The guide is funded in two ways, which we prefer to explain plainly.
Links to partner boutiques. When you follow a “Where to find it” link and then make a purchase, the boutique may pay us a commission. The price you pay stays the same. These links are marked “Affiliate links”, next to the boutiques and at the bottom of every page.
Advertising. Discreet advertising spaces may appear on some pages. They are only loaded once you have given your consent, in line with our cookie policy.
No house can buy a place in our selections, nor review our texts before publication.
A fragrance without a partner boutique keeps the same place as the others: its profile simply shows “Partner link coming soon”, and in the guides, a fragrance sold only by its house is marked as such. Our texts are based on the information published by the houses, never on what a link earns.
No partnership has been signed yet: “Where to find it” links will appear as agreements are made.
