Parfums de Marly

History

A lover of perfumery and of eighteenth-century splendour, Julien Sprecher founded Parfums de Marly in 2009. He wanted a house of fine perfumery where tradition converses with the present, against standardisation.

The house draws its imagery from the Château de Marly, where Louis XV received, far from Versailles, the guests of his "perfumed court". Its coat of arms pays tribute to the horses of Marly, sculpted by Guillaume Coustou at the king's request in 1743, and most of its fragrances bear the names of horses.
