Vilhelm Parfumerie
A house with a Swedish name and New York roots, whose fragrances, created in Paris, each tell a scene inspired by the arts, from cinema to jazz.
Official website(new tab)History
Vilhelm Parfumerie sees itself as an art studio: each fragrance tells a moment, inspired by cinema, music, painting or a city, between past and present, between New York and Paris. The house champions a taste for contrast and surprise. Its compositions come in the same heavy glass bottle, designed by Pierre Dinand, with a saffron-yellow label inspired by a piece of Bakelite found at a Parisian flea market.
Despite its Swedish name and New York roots, the house creates its fragrances in Paris, with the perfumers Jérôme Épinette, Bertrand Duchaufour and Marc-Antoine Corticchiato, and raw-material makers including Technicoflor and Robertet, both rooted in Grasse. Its first boutique opened in 2021 at 58 rue Pierre Charron, in Paris's Golden Triangle.
