Julie Lerendu
Perfumer at the fragrance house Robertet, who signs for Roja Parfums the creation notes of Elysium Absolue, a fruity rose floral from the Elysium collection.
Career and creations
Julie Lerendu is a perfumer at Robertet, the Grasse-based fragrance and raw-materials house. Robertet presents her as the creator of Opal for Boadicea the Victorious, inspired by the enigmatic aura of the Snake in the Chinese zodiac, and of Harrods Gold, an exclusive edition for the London department store. In them she uses some of Robertet's finest materials, such as its patchouli heart and a Bourbon vanilla absolute.
For Roja Parfums, she composed Elysium Absolue, a new chapter in the Elysium legend, conceived as the feminine counterpart to Elysium Pour Homme. She says she imagined a garden of dark, velvety roses: a carnal, opulent rose, softened by orris butter and surrounded by a luminous floral bouquet. Juicy fruits, lychee, raspberry, blackcurrant and fig, give it an addictive freshness, while ambery resins, creamy sandalwood and musks bring a deep sensuality. A touch of pink pepper adds, in her words, an air of magic.
