Histoires de Parfums
An olfactory library: each fragrance tells of a character, a legendary year, a poem or a piece of music, to be read on the skin.

Gérald Ghislain comes from gastronomy: he opened his first restaurant at twenty-two and ran two in Paris by the end of the 1990s. Convinced that cooking and perfume share the same art of elevating nature, he trained at ISIPCA and founded Histoires de Parfums in 2000, in the early days of niche perfumery.
His collection reads like a library: the bottles bear dates and names that point to the Marquis de Sade, George Sand or Casanova. The house opened its boutique in the Marais, on rue du Roi-Doré, and in 2022 launched Olibanum, a sister brand committed to more responsible materials.
