Career and creations
Serge Majoullier is a senior perfumer at Mane, the Grasse fragrance company, where he is the expert in Jungle Essence, the house's extraction technique. In 2018 he presented Nepalese Timur pepper there, a berry with grapefruit overtones harvested with Nepalese communities. At the opening of Mane's first fine fragrance creative centre in China, in Shanghai, he showed his mobile laboratory, which allows natural materials to be extracted while travelling.
For BDK Parfums, he composed Bouquet de Hongrie, a tribute to Edith Benedek, the founder's grandmother. He wanted a fresh, luminous floral bouquet, embodying a delicate and romantic woman, with juicy, green and fruity facets: blackcurrant and pear brighten the rose and jasmine, on a soft and comfortable musky, ambery base. It also features Lorenox, a Mane molecule.
