Carnal Flower does not describe a flower: it summons one. The opening is green and watery, a freshness of melon and foliage recalling a greenhouse at dawn, before the tuberose takes over, luminous and whole.
Then the flower changes texture. It turns milky, almost carnal, carried by a musk that extends it without weighing it down. A portrait of tuberose of rare precision, as true by day as by night, like a flower that changes with the light.

Carnal Flower in detail
Frédéric Malle imagined his house as a publisher: each fragrance bears the name of the perfumer who composed it, free of any constraint. Carnal Flower is signed by Dominique Ropion and is devoted entirely to tuberose, a white flower known to be difficult, at once fresh, green and very creamy.
The house only publishes the top and base notes. At the top, melon and green notes give a damp, green sensation, like a freshly cut stem, while tuberose is already there. In the base, tuberose returns, rounder and more enveloping, carried by musk. Between the two, the composition lets the flower move gradually from green to milky.
Carnal Flower is worn in spring and summer, by day or by night: a ceremony, a summer dinner, an evening when you want to wear a frank, generous flower.
Three florals in our catalogue share its pairing of tuberose and musk: Adare by Memo Paris, Elysium Absolue by Roja Parfums, which sets tuberose among fruit and roses, and Frangipani by Ormonde Jayne, built around the frangipani flower.
