Falcon Leather goes back to the beginnings of perfumery in Grasse, when glovemakers scented their leathers. Aurélien Guichard turns it into the image of a falconer's glove left to warm in the sun, built on Finnish birch tar oil.
Saffron strengthens the opening, Andalusian cistus labdanum underlines the smooth side of the leather and Sumatran benzoin its supple suede side. A smoky, frank, elegant leather.

Falcon Leather in detail
Matière Première builds each creation on an overdose of a natural material. Falcon Leather, signed by Aurélien Guichard, is a good example: a dry, smoky leather that brings to mind a falconer's glove, between birch tar, saffron, labdanum and benzoin.
The house lists four main notes, without sorting them into stages. Birch, whose tarry oil evokes leather and smoke, is its heart. Saffron brings a spicy, slightly metallic warmth. Labdanum and benzoin give it an amber, resinous depth.
Falcon Leather is worn in the evening, in autumn and winter: a night out, a cold evening, a dinner. It will suit anyone who loves frank, smoky leathers, without flowers or fruit.
Three leather fragrances in our catalogue share its materials: Mélodie de l'Altaï by Ella K Parfums brings together saffron and benzoin with whisky; 1740 Marquis de Sade by Histoires de Parfums pairs birch and labdanum with davana; Milano by Fragrance Du Bois finds saffron again in a brighter leather.
