History

In 1976 Jean Laporte founded L'Artisan Parfumeur and became one of the pioneers of modern niche perfumery. Away from trends, the house cultivates complete creative freedom and draws its inspiration from the riches of nature.

Its first creations have remained emblematic: the Boule d'Ambre, a scented object born the same year, then Mûre et Musc, which pairs fresh blackberry with white musks. In 1994 Olivia Giacobetti composed Premier Figuier there, the first fragrance built around fig. The house celebrated its fiftieth anniversary in 2026.
