Ormonde Jayne
A modern British perfumery built around rare materials seldom used, and made in its own English workshop.
Official website(new tab)History
Linda Pilkington began by making scented candles: a first order, placed by a great Parisian jewellery house, led her to register the name Ormonde Jayne, which joins her middle name and the street of her first workshop. In October 2001 she opened a boutique on Old Bond Street, then launched her first fragrances in 2002, including Ormonde Woman and Tolu.
The house became known for unexpected materials, such as the black hemlock of Ormonde Woman, and for highly concentrated fragrances, matured for months before bottling. Still independent, it continues to make its fragrances in its workshop in Kent.
